LOOK: Several Ole Miss players kneel during the national anthem

In recent years, we’ve seen NFL players like Collin Kaepernick and Eric Reid kneel during the national anthem to protest racial inequality in the U.S.
On Saturday afternoon, that form of demonstration made its way to the SEC, as several Ole Miss basketball players were spotted kneeling during the national anthem ahead of a game against Georgia.
As you can see below, it appears that six Rebels participated in the demonstration:

The SEC will likely have something to say about the protest, but what the conference decides to say remains to be seen.
Will we see more teams follow in the Rebels’ footsteps in the coming weeks? Only time will tell.
