As the Tennessee coaching search wears on, it is becoming clear who Vol Nation wants to lead the program — former QB Tee Martin, who led the Vols to the 1998 national title.
Martin is currently the offensive coordinator for USC, and the Trojans just held off Stanford on Friday night to win the Pac-12 title.
During the game, though, it’s safe to say Martin noticed some Tennessee fans in the stands, holding up signs asking for him to return to Knoxville. Martin posted this photo on Twitter on Saturday morning:
And to the loyal Tennessee fans. Showing some California Love!! That’s what’s up! #Pac12Champs! pic.twitter.com/0bx3BskTAf

Will new AD Phillip Fulmer, who coached Martin during the 1998 title run, give his former quarterback a call? That is unclear at this time, but momentum is building for Martin.
Martin has never been a head coach before, but after so many big-name candidates have turned the Vols down, the school may not have many better options than Martin.
