Last Saturday, UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton suffered a gruesome leg injury that required three surgeries and kept him in the hospital for almost an entire week.

As the No. 8 Knights take the field without Milton in the AAC championship game, they made sure to honor their junior signal-caller with decals on their helmets. An “808” sticker sits just above the facemask as a reference to Milton’s hometown of Kapolei, Hawaii, and a decal on the back reads “10HANA” in tribute to Milton’s number and the popular Hawaiian phrase.

The team’s official Twitter account posted pictures of the helmet decals, which you can view below.

Milton has been a driving force behind UCF’s 24-game winning streak, and now the Knights must try to extend that and finalize their case for a College Football Playoff berth without him. But he’ll be with them in spirit when UCF hosts Memphis at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Orlando.
