Whether you’re familiar with the term “surrender cobra” or not, it’s one of the more recognizable poses on college football sidelines and in the stands – and a favorite of fans on Twitter and Reddit. The hands on top of the head (or the back of the neck), elbows out is sometimes all you can do when things are going wrong.

Fans watching the No. 4 Ohio State vs. No. 9 Penn State game noticed that Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer was shown on the sidelines doing his own “surrender cobra.” Cameras caught a disappointed Meyer after the Buckeyes turned it over to the Nittany Lions on an interception.

Obviously, Meyer’s squad is far from actually “surrendering” down 0-6 at the 6:54 mark in the second quarter.
