For the third straight season, Vanderbilt took down its biggest in-state rival, beating Tennessee, 38-13, on Saturday.

That means that Commodores fans have another year of bragging rights over Vols fans for in-state supremacy. And Vandy’s team Twitter account joined in on the fun after Saturday’s game.

The Commodores released a graphic claiming that Tennessee is “our state” following their big victory:

Vanderbilt not only has three consecutive wins over Tennessee, but the Commodores have scored 38 or more points in each of those victories.

This year’s win also made Vandy bowl eligible for the second time in five seasons under coach Derek Mason. The Commodores last played in a bowl at the end of the 2016 season, when they lost to N.C. State in the Independence Bowl.
