LOOK: Will Grier’s gruesome finger injury is not ideal for throwing a football
By Adam Spencer
Published:
West Virginia QB Will Grier is second in the nation with 34 touchdown passes (to Mizzou QB Drew Lock’s 35), but for the remainder of Saturday’s game against Texas, he’ll find it difficult to add to that total.
That’s because early in the game, Grier suffered a gruesome-looking broken finger, with the injured digit sticking out at an incredible angle.
As you can see in the images below, it looks like quite a painful injury on Grier’s throwing hand:

Chris Chugunov has taken over for Grier, and it is unclear at this time whether he’ll be able to return to the game.
However, with an injury like that to his throwing hand, it’s possible the former Florida quarterback could be out for a while.
