Lots of teams are breaking out alternate or first-time jerseys in Week 8
If you look across the country, there are lots of teams breaking out brand new uniforms, throwbacks or alternates in Week 8.
MISSISSIPPI STATE
The Bulldogs are holding a blackout tonight against Kentucky in Starkville, the fourth under coach Dan Mullen. MSU is 1-2 in those games.

NEBRASKA
The Cornhuskers wore these black uniforms, or as they call them, “Husker Bold,” uniforms today in a 30-28 loss to Northwestern. Nebraska celebrated the 1995 national championship football team this week, which was honored during the game in Lincoln.
NORTHWESTERN
However, the Wildcats, who introduced a new combination in the same game, won the fashion show in Lincoln.
GEORGIA TECH
The Yellow Jackets are holding a “White Out” tonight as they host No. 9 Florida State with the honeycomb look.

MARYLAND
The Terrapins are wearing these 1960s throwbacks today against Penn State.

OKLAHOMA STATE
Oklahoma State wore mid-70s throwback helmets for its homecoming game against Kansas.
NORTHERN ILLINOIS
The Wolfpack went all red uniforms with black helmets for their homecoming game against Eastern Michigan.
CINCINNATI
I don’t have any explanation for these helmets.
ILLINOIS
The Illini donned the “Gray Ghost” uniforms today in a loss to Wisconsin.
WESTERN MICHIGAN
The Broncos broke out the pink for breast cancer awareness today.

On Friday night, Memphis beat Tulsa 66-42 to remain undefeated. You’d have no idea which team it was by just looking at their helmets.
