LSU among 5 finalists for elite 2020 safety from Arizona

LSU and Florida have a long-standing battle as to who is the rightful “DBU,” but LSU has a pretty strong case these days.
They’ll have perhaps the best safety in the country this fall in Grant Delpit, and on Tuesday, the Tigers landed in the top five for an elite 2020 safety.
As you can see below, 4-star S Lathan Ransom — an Arizona native — listed LSU among the five schools he’s still considering:

LSU will battle it out with Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio State and Notre Dame for Ransom’s services.
Per the 247Sports composite, Ransom is the No. 5 safety in the class of 2020 and the No. 5 overall recruit from the state of Arizona.
