The Tigers earned a commitment from Santa Clara guard Carlos Stewart. A Baton Rouge native, Stewart scored over 15 points per game last season with Santa Clara.

Stewart joins a LSU program that is looking to take a big step forward in Year 2 under Matt McMahon. The Tigers missed the postseason in 2022-23, but have reason for optimism moving forward.
Stewart is also an efficient 3-point shooter. He made over 40% of his long range attempts last season as a sophomore. He also averaged 2.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals per contest.
LSU now has commitments from 4 high-profile transfers this offseason. He joins center Will Baker, point guard Jalen Cook and forward Jordan Wright as new additions to LSU’s roster.
Stewart will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.
