Matt McMahon has numerous LSU roster spots to fill, with last year’s Tiger team opting to hit the transfer portal or go pro. On Friday, LSU added a transfer guard from NC State.

Cam Hayes announced his commitment to LSU, via his social media account. Hayes spent 2 seasons with the Wolfpack.

This past season, Hayes played in 32 games, making 13 starts. Per game, he averaged 2.5 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 7 points on 33.5% shooting from the floor over 21 minutes. In 2020-21, he played in 23 games (14 starts), posting per-game averages of 7.8 points, 3.1 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 23.5 minutes.

Out of high school, Hayes was ranked as a 4-star prospect by 247Sports and Rivals (No. 68 player nationally by 247Sports and No. 76 overall by Rivals).
