For LSU, the Early Signing Period starts off with a massive pickup. The No. 11 defensive tackle is leaving Salt Lake City for Baton Rouge.

Siaki Ika, a former BYU commit, signed with LSU Wednesday morning. Florida made a late push getting Ika on campus this past weekend, but in the end, LSU won out as recruiting experts predicted. Oregon, USC and Utah were also considered finalists for Ika late in the process.

Listed at 6-3, 351 pounds, Ika is a 4-star recruited ranked the No. 1 Utah product and No. 159 prospect overall nationally. Bill Busch and Dennis Johnson recruited him to LSU. Tigers fans can get an early look at Ika in the All-American Bowl on Jan. 5.
