LSU CB Tre’Davious White is his own toughest critic

LSU CB Tre’Davious White will likely be a top pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

As such, he holds himself to a higher standard than most players. So, even though LSU stomped Arkansas 38-10 last weekend, White wasn’t happy with a play where he gave up a 44-yard touchdown.

He told The Advocate that he’s not worried about anything negative that will be written about him, though, because he’s already been tougher on himself:

“Whenever somebody says something about me or writes something about me that’s bad because of a play that I made or a play that I didn’t do,” White said, “it’s nothing nobody can say about me that’s going to affect me because I’m pretty much harder on myself than anybody could be.”

The 44-yard touchdown to Arkansas WR Dominique Reed was a small blip on an otherwise stellar season:

“I wanted to go through the whole year without giving up a pass over 10 yards,” White said. “I didn’t want to give up a touchdown. I didn’t want those things to happen, but it happened. But the good thing about it, I get to respond Saturday.”

White will be playing with a chip on his shoulder when the Tigers host Florida on Saturday at noon Central time. Watch the game on the SEC Network.
