LSU moves back into CFP rankings

After two weeks out of the College Football Playoff rankings, LSU moved back into the top 25, re-entering the rankings at No. 24 following a 23-17 win over Texas A&M on Thanksgiving.

LSU finished the regular season at 8-4, going 4-4 in the SEC. The Tigers finished fifth in the brutal SEC West, their lowest finish since 2008. LSU finished the regular season ranked in the coaches, AP and CFP rankings, coming in at No. 23 in the AP and No. 24 in the coaches poll. It was the ninth time in 10 seasons under Les Miles that LSU has been ranked at the end of the regular season.

The Tigers await their bowl fate this weekend. Possibilities include the TaxSlayer Bowl in Jacksonville, Fl., the Texas Bowl in Houston and the Outback Bowl in Tampa.
