LSU sophomore defensive end Rashard Lawrence could miss Saturday’s game at Mississippi State.
Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron said Monday that Lawrence’s status for the game against the Bulldogs is “up in the air,” according to a report from Geaux 247.
“I don’t know if Rashard Lawrence will play this week,” Orgeron apparently said.
Lawrence suffered a leg injury in LSU’s Week 1 shutout win over BYU after recording four tackles. He was reportedly wearing a boot at the Chattanooga game in Week 2.
The report said Lawrence did not dress out in that game. Glen Logan started in his place.
“If Rashard doesn’t play, we may have to move some guys around,” Orgeron said.
He was not expected to be in attendance at practice, the report said. Lawrence had six tackles last season as a freshman.
The Tigers will have standout outside linebacker Arden Key back this week.
