With the spring semester just a few days away, LSU is expecting six of its football recruits to enroll early and be on campus for spring practices.
According to reports from Scout and Geaux247, the six players that will come to campus early are five-star cornerback Kevin Toliver, four-star running back/fullback David Ducre, three-star cornerback Ugo Amadi, three-star quarterback Justin MacMillan, three-star tight end Hanner Shipley and three-star JUCO transfer Jeremy Cutrer.

There was some question about Toliver’s commitment to LSU after defensive coordinator John Chavis fled to Texas A&M. However, Toliver showed off his LSU jersey through his Twitter account Wednesday, putting an end to speculation. LSU’s top-rated recruit will have a chance to make an immediate impact, with Jalen Collins leaving school for the NFL and Rashard Robinson’s time with the team apparently at an end.
Ducre will provide the Tigers with backfield depth in spring after losing Terrence Magee, Kenny Hilliard and Connor Neighbors. He should see reps as both a fullback and running back. MacMillan also gives the Tigers depth, as the lefty dual-threat quarterback will likely play behind Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris.
Shipley is another player who could find himself on the field immediately, as LSU is losing tight end Logan Stokes and the team is fond of sets with multiple tight ends. Amadi and Cutrer will also compete for playing time at cornerback when they get to campus, although Amadi is still planning to take a few more campus visits before officially enrolling.
