LSU fans know all about elite baseball play. The Tigers have won 7 national titles, including the most recent championship with a dramatic run at Omaha.
On Sunday night, one fan in attendance for Game 6 of the ALCS stole the show and showed off his own prowess at catching the ball. Decked out in a “Tigers” jersey and an LSU hat, this fan didn’t even need a glove.
He stepped up and nonchalantly snared the home run off the bat of Texas’ Mitch Garver in the second inning. It’s impressive to watch, and even the broadcast crew for FOX was blown away!

“Barehand stab it, on a home run,” said the broadcast crew.
“Yeah, this ball’s hit, slicing and ‘I got it, I got it!’ So good!”
Some fans might bring in a glove to help with a home run or foul ball, but not this fan! A second hand was not even needed with a one-hand, barehanded grab on the fly.
For a bit of context, Garver’s home run was clocked at 102 MPH exit velocity off the bat. Even if it slows down a bit by the time it reaches the fence, that ball had some serious heat on it!
