LSU went to work quickly on flipping 2024 in-state cornerback Bernard Causey.
Causey was committed to Ole Miss, but decided to reopen his commitment Monday.
“Beyond grateful for the opportunity to be offered a scholarship to Ole Miss, but at this time I will be decommiting to open up my options I want to thank the team, the coaches, and the fans for all the love I was shown, Ole Miss will still be an option.” said Causey.

Causey is ranked as the No. 81 CB and No. 31 prospect in the state, per the 247Sports Composite. The only other SEC schools to offer the prospect were Missouri and Mississippi State.
He also had Power 5 offers from Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Colorado, Indiana, and Texas Tech.
