The LSU Board of Supervisors athletic committee has approved extensions for two football assistants, according to Brody Miller of The Times-Picayune.
Receivers coach Mickey Joseph has been extended through the 2020 season (March 2021) and is receiving a bump in pay from $225,000 per year to $300,000. Jospeh’s contract is set to automatically renew if he is not otherwise terminated. He also has the chance to earn an additional $75,000 in incentive-based bonuses. Football strength coach Tommy Moffitt, who has been with the program since 2000, is getting a $15,000 bump in pay from $415,000 to $430,000.
Joseph came to LSU in February 2017 when coach Ed Orgeron made staff changes to help boost the Tigers’ recruiting efforts. Joseph, a New Orleans native, has more than two decades of coaching experience with previous stops including running backs coach Louisiana Tech (2016), head coach Langston University (2011-12) and graduate assistant at Tulane (1999).
