LSU’s fourth-ranked 2018 class got a little stronger on Sunday with the announcement of four-star OG Chasen Hines. Hines, ranked as the 269th prospect in the class by 247Sports Composite, joins the Tigers out of Marshall, Texas.
Hines is rated as the nation’s No. 16 offensive guard and the state of Texas’ No. 33 overall prospect. He released the following statement from his Twitter account.
The 6-foot-2.5, 350-pound guard defines road grader, using his stout frame and powerful strength to get low and overwhelm defenders. Due to this combination of size and strength, his learning curve shouldn’t be terribly steep in college football.
Hines will be the Tigers’ sixth four-star commit in this very young cycle, as well as their first on offense. The SEC’s best class just got better, and it certainly got bigger.
