The LSU quarterback position continues to be an area of focus by both the fan base and the media.
Brandon Harris was benched during the second week of the year. Purdue transfer Danny Etling was thrust into the starting role, and has yet to relinquish it.
Harris received tons of criticism whilst the starter — yet some fans are clamoring for him to return. Etling was very poor in LSU’s 10-0 loss versus Alabama. Some had thought Harris may have been the better option.
When compared to Etling, Harris is not only faster and more elusive, but he also has a bigger arm.
Going forward, Etling is the starter. However, don’t be surprised if Harris gets a look at some point down line. Head coach Ed Orgeron spoke about this possibility on Wednesday:
Orgeron reiterating that Brandon Harris "is one play" away from being the QB. Danny's still the guy. #LSU

O is asked on his radio show about Brandon Harris, a weekly thing: "We have no problems putting him in if the timing is right." #LSU
