LSU wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr. is poised to make his season debut on Saturday against Texas A&M.

Hilton was upgraded to probable on LSU’s updated availability report, which was released by the SEC on Friday evening. Hilton has not yet played this season as he’s been dealing with an ankle injury that Brian Kelly has termed as “complicated” recent weeks.

Here’s LSU’s updated availability report for Week 9:

“It has been a complicated injury,” Kelly said of Hilton’s injury earlier this month. “Let’s get the record straight, just so everybody knows. Chris has done everything to get back as quickly as possible. This has been an injury that we’ve done scans. We’ve done MRIs, and the healing has just been slow. He’s put in the time. And he has the want-to to want to be out there.”

Hilton is expected to be a big boost for LSU’s offense. Last season while playing behind stars like Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr., Hilton caught 13 passes for 225 yards and 2 touchdowns. He’s averaged over 20 yards per reception in each of his 3 seasons at LSU, making him a significant threat over the top.

LSU and Texas A&M will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night from College Station.
