There is a reason that coaches never give up in the recruiting game.
Les Miles had already won the commitment of Michael Divinity back in October, and then he lost it when it looked like Miles might lose his job in late November.
But as of Saturday, he has it back again.
According to 247 Sports, Divinity recommitted to LSU, giving what has already been ranked as the top class in the 2016 recruiting cycle another blue chip piece.
The linebacker told 247 Sports’ Sonny Shipp that the recent hiring of former Wisconsin defensive coordinator Dave Aranda was to his liking:
“I was really happy with the hire at defensive coordinator (Dave Aranda). He’s had a top defense the past three years at Wisconsin, and I like how he coaches up his defensive team. Now I really believe that LSU is the place and my home.”
Divinity ranks as the 71st best player in the 2016 recruiting class.
