The LSU Tigers landed their newest commitment in four-star Texas defensive back Caden Sterns. Sterns, listed at 6-foot-1 and 173 pounds, is rated as the country’s No. 4 overall safety and the No. 5 overall player in the state of Texas for the class of 2018, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Although the Cibolo, Texas-native is a class of 2018 prospect, it shows that recruiting will stabilize now that Orgeron is the head coach. And this certainly won’t be the last commitment in a short amount of time, because Orgeron is one of the best recruiters in the country.
The Texas-LSU pipeline will be important for Orgeron moving forward.
