LSU lands commitment from 4-star 2023 safety out of Georgia

LSU football got some good news Wednesday when Michael Dougherty announced his commitment to the Tigers.
A Loganville, Georgia native, Dougherty is listed at 6-1, 180 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 18 Peach State recruit, No. 19 safety and No. 202 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. Dougherty has picked up 42 scholarship offers during his recruitment.
At his signing ceremony, Dougherty included hates on the table for Auburn, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Miami, North Carolina and Texas. This month, he took visits to USC and LSU.

A Grayson standout, Daugherty’s scholarship offers also included Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt, per his recruiting profile.
