LSU picked up another major addition to its 2024 recruiting class on Friday afternoon, which is the final day of the Early Signing Period.

The Tigers landed a commitment from 4-star offensive lineman Coen Echols out of Texas. He becomes the 28th player to commit to the Tigers in the class of 2024.

Echols is one of the top linemen in the country. He’s the No. 255 overall player and the No. 12 interior offensive linemen in the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 43 player from the state of Texas.

Echols is from Katy, Texas. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 290 pounds. He also had offers from programs such as Auburn and Texas A&M, amongst others. He was committed to the Aggies until Dec. 8 when he decided to back off of that pledge. Echols took an official visit to LSU this past weekend.

Once Echols officially signs his letter of intent, he will become the 28th member of LSU’s 2024 class. The group currently ranks No. 11 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Here are some highlights from Echols’ senior season:
