As an LSU quarterback, Joe Burrow will always have his share of critics. Burrow hasn’t been in Baton Rouge long after making his decision to transfer from Ohio State following the Buckeyes spring game, but he appears to have already won over one of his most important critics, Tigers OC Steve Ensminger.

Speaking at the Tigers Caravan stop in Metairie, La., Ensminger shared some of his early impressions of the new LSU signal-caller. In the comments tweeted by Scott Rabalais of The Advocate, Ensminger candidly admits he was initally skeptical of Burrow’s arm strength on film, but any concern in that area has been put to bed by what the offensive coordinator has seen up close.

Ensminger also praised Burrow’s work ethic with embracing additions to the playbook.

Burrow’s attitude has also impressed head coach Ed Orgeron.

While the addition of Burrow, the star of OSU’s spring game, is seen as a huge boost for the Tigers in 2018, Orgeron said the transfer quarterback still faces a “big challenge” in trying to become the starter.
