LSU offensive guard Will Clapp reportedly wore a walking boot in Friday’s practice because of a turf toe injury, but is still expected to play in Week 1, sources told Jim Kleinpeter of NOLA.com.
Clapp was shown wearing the boot on his left foot in an Instagram photo posted by K.J. Malone featuring six LSU offensive lineman posing in Lambeau Field, where the team will play against Wisconsin Saturday.
The redshirt freshman started in 12 games for the Tigers and is listed as LSU’s starting left guard on its depth chart, with sophomore Garrett Brumfield. Maea Teuhema was the Tigers’ starting left guard last season, but missed a week of fall camp nursing an ankle injury.
