LSU OL Willie Allen, 6-foot-7, 300-pound freshman, suffered a knee injury recently and is awaiting word on whether he’ll redshirt for the 2016 season or not.

A source told NOLA.com that Allen will likely have arthroscopic knee surgery and miss the season.

Allen seems to be in good spirits, though, tweeting a positive message on Sunday:

According to 247Sports, Allen was a four-star recruit from New Orleans. He was the No. 17 offensive tackle in the class of 2016 and the No. 10 overall recruit from the state of Louisiana.
