Week 8’s game between LSU and Ole Miss was one of the most watched editions of the rivalry since 2014.
The CBS sports broadcast peaked with nearly 5 million viewers, averaging 3.857 million viewers. That total is up 21% from last season’s matchup.
That’s good for not only LSU and Ole Miss, but for college football.

Ole Miss suffered its first loss of the season to Brian Kelly’s Tigers. LSU is playing great football this season, with a chance at the SEC West title still within reach if the Tigers can vanquish Alabama in 2 weeks.
LSU has only lost twice this season, once to Florida State in Week 1 and again to No. 3 Tennessee, 40-13.
