The LSU Tigers look to get back on track after a Week 5 loss to Ole Miss on Saturday when they take on the visiting South Carolina Gamecocks – and LSU will do so as a 9-point favorite according to Circa Sports’ odds released on Sunday afternoon. The points total opens at 43½ points.

No. 11 LSU (4-1) dropped out of the unbeaten ranks Sept. 27 in Oxford, falling to the Rebels 24-19, and had an idle week last weekend.

South Carolina is 3-2 after losing to Vanderbilt at home 31-7 and on the road to then-No. 23 Missouri 29-20. The Gamecocks rebounded with a 35-13 victory on Sept. 27 and were also idle last week.

LSU owns an 18-2-1 record against South Carolina in history, and has won 8 straight games on the field. The Tigers downed the Gamecocks 36-33 in Columbia last season and earned a 52-24 victory at home in 2020. South Carolina’s last victory over LSU in the record books was a vacated win in 2015, but the last time the Gamecocks won on the field against the Tigers was an 18-17 victory in Baton Rouge in 1994.

LSU-South Carolina kicks off at 7:45 pm ET Saturday and will be telecast on the SEC Network.
