LSU offensive tackle Marcus Dumervil announced Tuesday that he would be entering the transfer portal after spending 3 seasons in Baton Rouge.

The 6-foot-5, 306 pound tackle will have 2 years of eligibility remaining, making use of his 2020 Covid-19 eligibility year.

Dumervil is a former 4-star prospect, rated as the No. 111 prospect in the Class of 2020. He was also named the No. 11 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 17 player out of the talent-rich state of Florida.

But star rankings only matter so much when you reach the field. Dumervil was used almost exclusively in a reserve role. He is the 2nd offensive lineman to enter the portal (Cam Wire) for the Tigers since the window opened and the 11th overall Tiger to enter the portal this year.
