LSU’s matchup with Miami in 2018 was already known, but the team released the rest of its non-conference schedule for that season today.

The Tigers will also play a couple teams from the state, Louisiana Tech and Southeastern Louisiana, while also playing Rice, according to Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Joe Alleva.

LSU’s game against the Hurricanes will be a season-opening affair in the Cowboys Classic at AT&T Stadium, or “Jerry World,” the school’s fourth game there. The game will be played on Sept. 1, 2018.

The Tigers will follow up that game with a Week 2 contest against Southeastern Louisiana. The dates for the other two games will be Oct. 20 (vs. Louisiana Tech) and Nov. 17 (vs. Rice).

The Bayou Bengals are very familiar with Rice, a school that they shared a rivalry with, having played 55 times with the last meeting coming more than 20 years ago in 1995.

The SEC will detail the league portion of the 2018 schedule later on.
