The major injury news from LSU coach Ed Orgeron on Tuesday was that sophomore linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. But the Tigers will also be without another starter temporarily.
Orgeron announced that starting right tackle Adrian Magee will miss “2-3 weeks” with a leg injury. Magee exited the season-opening win over Miami in the first quarter on Sunday night.
After Magee departed, junior Badara Traore filled in at right tackle and did a “solid” job, according to Orgeron.
Magee, a junior, played 15 games over his first two seasons at LSU, including all but one in 2017. He had made one career start prior to Sunday’s game against Miami.
It is likely that Traore will continue to fill in at right tackle with Magee sidelined several weeks. Traore is in his first season with the Tigers after previously playing at the junior-college level for ASA College.
