LSU transfer forward Alex Fudge is visiting an SEC program this weekend. College basketball insider Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports shares that Fudge is visiting Florida.
Fudge is from the Sunshine State, out of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville. He was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2020, joining the Tigers in the middle of the 2020-21 season and redshirting.
Fudge was a freshman in 2021-22. The 6-8, 185-pound forward played in 29 games, posting per-game averages of 3.2 rebounds and 3.3 points on 42.4% shooting over 14 minutes a contest.
Rothstein’s report notes that LSU has let Fudge know he would be welcome to return to Baton Rouge. Georgia, Texas A&M, Marquette and USC have also expressed interest. UF, UGA and LSU are all turning to the transfer portal to rebuild their rosters under new head coaches.
