Nike’s ensuring it has brand presence on a national telecast during LSU’s season opener against Wisconsin on Aug. 30.
The swoosh has updated the Tigers’ on-field footwear this season with iridescent soles and a Tiger eye applique on each tongue. LSU revealed three different styles of game cleats on Wednesday, all with a primary white base, purple as the secondary color and gold accents.
The Tigers debuted similar iridescent-soled cleats in last year’s Outback Bowl.
Nike’s the official supplier for 46 of 65 power conference schools including 10 in the SEC.
