Luther Burden III thinks highly of himself.

The Missouri wideout has reason to. He’s currently second in the SEC in receiving yards with 808.

During an appearance on the SEC Network on Thursday, Burden said that other receivers should be emulating his game when asked who he modeled it after. He did watch top SEC talents like Julio Jones, however.

“I don’t really try to emulate my game after no one,” said Burden. “I feel like people should emulate their game after me. I grew up watching Julio Jones, that was probably who I was watching the most.”

Jones was a stud for Alabama back in the day. Burden chose a great player to watch. Jones is still playing football at the professional level after signing with the Philadelphia Eagles recently.

Maybe if Burden performs well enough in the NFL kids will start wanting to be like him and buying up his jersey. The former 5-star recruit is showing his worth this season.

Missouri finishes off the regular season with South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and Arkansas.

The Tigers sit at 6-1 and face the Gamecocks at Faurot Field next. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
