Luther ‘Uncle Luke’ Campbell of 2 Live Crew fame fires back at Paul Finebaum over Miami quip on ESPN

In the leadup to the Florida vs. Miami game, Paul Finebaum hasn’t been shy about sharing his thoughts on the Hurricanes fanbase and program.

The SEC Network host frequently ribs UM and its fans over what he views as arrogance and over-the-top flashiness. In an appearance on ESPN’s “First Take,” Finebaum quipped, “Uncle Luke’s no longer running the show anymore – even though he probably thinks he is.”

Finebaum was referring to Luther Campbell, the 2 Live Crew rapper known as Uncle Luke. Campbell, who is still prominent in the Miami area as a youth football coach and Miami New Times columnist among other things, was upset by Finebaum’s call out. He posted a video of his reaction to social media and included more comments in writing. He even warns the SEC and Alabama that shots from the Finebaum could keep the next Amari Cooper-like talent from leaving the Miami area to play for an SEC program.

Finebaum clearly needs to respond with a diss track.
