Mac Hereford is staying in the Southeastern Conference.

The former Alabama receiver announced on Tuesday evening that he plans on finishing his collegiate career in Nashville as a member of Derek Mason’s Vanderbilt football program.

The Birmingham native was a walk-on at Alabama and saw action in just one game last season, against Western Carolina on Senior Day. Hereford will be a walk-on at Vanderbilt in 2020.

Hereford announced the news on his Instagram account:

“Excited to pursue a Masters degree and use my last year of eligibility at Vanderbilt University. Anchor Down!”
