Mac Jones is expected to start for the New England Patriots against the New York Jets this Sunday, sources told ESPN’s Field Yates.
Jones was benched for rookie QB Bailey Zappe last week in New England’s 33-14 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Zappe performed well to start, but started to become ineffective as the Bears started their late game surge. It seems head coach Bill Belichick is going back to Jones for the time being.
Jones, a former Alabama quarterback, fits Belichick’s system well. He hasn’t been flashy, but he has gotten the job done across his first year and a half in the NFL.
The Patriots are 3-4 heading into an important AFC East battle.
