Alabama LB Mack Wilson is known for his hard hits. In Saturday’s Orange Bowl, Wilson found himself on the receiving end of a big-time block that had social media buzzing.

Social media distractions and criticism came up when Wilson met with reporters Tuesday. He also acknowledged Oklahoma WR CeeDee Lamb’s block and noted there would be one big difference if he had delivered the hit.

“I feel like it was a good block,” he said Tuesday. “I’d do the same thing, but one thing, I can say is if that was me doing the blocking, that person wouldn’t have got up,” Wilson said.

“I feel like I bounced right back up. It didn’t hurt as much. I feel like he made a great play and that gave them great momentum to go down and score on that drive.”

On Tuesday, he also reached out to LSU QB Joe Burrow who was on the receiving end of a hard hit in the Fiesta Bowl.
