Malachi Moore has announced his plans for next season.
The junior defensive back, who is eligible to enter the 2023 NFL Draft, said he will return for another season next year, he told Bama OnLine.
“Yeah, I’m coming back,” Moore said. “I’m coming back.”
That’s a bright spot for an Alabama defense which could see a slew of departures.
Starting safeties Jordan Battle and DeMarcco Hellams have accepted invitations to play in the Senior Bowl, starting Star Brian Branch is projected to be a first-round pick, though he hasn’t announced yet. Also, starting cornerback Eli Ricks said he will announce his intentions for 2023 after he speaks with Nick Saban.
Moore and cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry are the only returning starters for next season. However, Terrion Arnold has experience, and there are 7 other returning players along with the 5 defensive backs in the 2023 signing class.
