Ahead of the Auburn-Alabama A&M game, Gus Malzahn is keeping the media guessing as to which Tigers quarterback will get the start on Saturday.

As noted by the Montgomery Advertiser’s Matthew Stevens, Malzahn offered a detailed injury report at all but one position Tuesday:

The Tigers head coach had no problem saying three running backs, a senior wide receiver and a walk-on special teams player wouldn’t play this Saturday against Alabama A&M (6:30 p.m., SEC Network) but  wasn’t “ready to make a call one way or the other” on quarterbacks.

Sean White, who started against Georgia and re-injured his shoulder, has not officially been ruled out. It is somewhat confusing, however, as to what White is doing in practice:

White confirmed what Malzahn said after the loss that he hasn’t thrown a football in practice for two weeks. Despite left guard Alex Kozan saying Saturday that White has been taking first-team reps in practice, White reiterated the comments that he hasn’t thrown a ball in practice in an effort to limit the wear on his throwing shoulder.

Malzahn has not stated whether John Franklin III or Jeremy Johnson would get the start against Alabama A&M. Franklin has been taking the No. 2 reps in practice according to the coach.
