Mantrez Walker, key Georgia LB for 2025, keeps 2 SEC programs on final list

Mantrez Walker is a key linebacker out of Georgia in the 2025 recruiting class. On Sunday, he whittled down his list of potential destinations.
Originally committed to Michigan, Walker reopened his recruitment in September and included LSU and Ole Miss in a new top 5 list. Penn State, Miami and Colorado round out Walker’s list of potential destinations.

Walker is listed at 6-feet and 215 pounds out of Buford High School, one of the top programs in Georgia. He’s rated a 3-star prospect and the 48th linebacker in the country per the 247 Sports Composite. Walker is also one of the top 50 players out of Georgia.
As things currently stand, Ole Miss holds just one commitment for the 2025 recruiting cycle with fellow linebacker Corey Amos out of Louisiana. Meanwhile, LSU is off to a hot start for the cycle with 9 hard commitments and a No. 2 recruiting class per the 247 Sports Team Composite.
