At this rate, we may have to start calling Auburn “Transfer Portal U” after all the activity on The Plains.

The roster movement was largely quiet following the hire of Bryan Harsin at Auburn, but following the conclusion of spring practice, several Tigers decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Not long after those defections, Auburn has worked quickly to arguably upgrade the roster on The Plains heading into the 2021 season.

The team’s latest addition comes with the commitment of former Kansas defensive lineman, Marcus Harris. Harris announced his commitment to Auburn on Friday.

Harris, a redshirt freshman last season for Kansas, was named to the First-Team Academic All-Big 12 Team, he started five games (Kansas played only eight games in 2020), finished the season with 27 tackles, and led the team with 7.5 tackles for loss. He also forced one fumble and recovered another.

Over the last week, Auburn has added former UAB defensive lineman Tony Fair, former Southeast Missouri defensive back Bydarrius Knighten (he was an FCS All-American last season), and former Vanderbilt defensive back Donovan Kaufman to the roster, all via the transfer portal.
