Florida safety Marcus Maye joins Jarrad Davis in returning for senior season
Florida’s defense, which looked to be in bad shape after losing six of its 11 starters from this past season, rebounded a bit on Monday.
It started with Florida junior linebacker Jarrad Davis‘ decision to return, and the good news continued on Monday as safety Marcus Maye announced that he’ll also be returning to the Gators for his senior season instead of entering the NFL Draft.
Maye, named as a First Team All-American by USA Today, had 82 tackles and was tied for the SEC lead with 5 forced fumbles.

The return of Davis and Maye is a relief for a unit that lost three juniors to the draft: CB Vernon Hargreaves, DE Alex McCalister and S Keanu Neal.
