Oregon grabbed a massive 35-28 win over the Buckeyes at Ohio Stadium on Saturday.
Even without top defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux, the Ducks took care of business at the Horseshoe, sending an early message that they’re a team with sights on the College Football Playoff despite the Pac-12 failing to put a team in the field over the past 4 seasons.
After the game, Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal made sure that his team handled themselves well with a classy message.
“Nothing on the 50 (yard line),” he can be heard saying in a video. “Nothing on the logo. Nothing. Respect your opponent.”

Thank you @coach_cristobal for winning with class. I love to see this. pic.twitter.com/zqkOrTKSc4— I like B1G Ducks and i cannot lie (@_JordanFlowers_) September 12, 2021
Unfortunately, someone didn’t get the message as two boys were filmed putting a rubber duck at the 50-yard line later on. (It wasn’t Cristobal’s sons that did it, per Crisobal’s wife, Jessica.)
Either way, Cristobal, who spent several years on Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama, certainly knows how to win with class.
