The 2026 College Football Hall of Fame class was announced on January 14 and it’s no surprise that Alabama legend Mark Ingram is one of the headliners.

The former running back captured the Heisman Trophy in 2009 en route to helping Alabama capture the national championship over Texas. The 5-foot-9, 215-pound Ingram amassed 3,261 yards and 42 touchdowns on the ground while also catching 60 passes for 670 yards and 4 scores during his college career.

Ingram expressed the utmost gratitude for the honor in a recent social media post.

“All glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the platform, the ability, and the strength to walk this journey. Nothing I’ve accomplished is possible without Him,” Ingram said. “Thankful for my family, teammates, coaches, Alabama, and everyone who believed in me along the way. This honor represents far more than just me — it’s everyone who has impacted my life and my journey. This is for us.”

During his Heisman Trophy season, Ingram rushed for 1,678 yards and 17 touchdowns, averaging 118.4 yards per game. Ingram went on to play in the NFL from 2011-2022, winning a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints and reaching the Pro Bowl 3 times.
