Mark Stoops and Kentucky are trending in the wrong direction.
The Wildcats have lost 2 straight after starting the season 5-0. Noticeably, the 2 best teams the Wildcats have played yet this season have both yielded losses.
That’s pretty demoralizing, but according to Stoops his team has responded well. He said during his weekly radio show Monday that the team called a players-only meeting, which he said is “great leadership.”
Here’s the clip from his radio show:
When asked about leadership and players stepping up, Mark Stoops says there was a players only meeting today.
“I saw great leadership. The players had a great meeting with themselves… they care.”

Now, it means nothing if Kentucky can’t start turning things around.
The Wildcats’ schedule doesn’t get much easier, but they do get a bye week before facing off against Tennessee on October 28 in Lexington. Snapping a 2-game winning streak against the Vols would be one way to pump some life back into the Wildcats fanbase.
