Monday was the deadline for players to declare for the NFL Draft, and Tennessee did a very good job of eluding potentially big losses when juniors Cam Sutton and Jalen Reeves-Maybin, among others, deciding to stay in school.

Unfortunately for Vols fans, WR Marquez North was not one of those guys.

ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg confirmed what many had expected might happen:

The suspicion that North was not coming back to school started well before Monday, when it was revealed that he was not enrolled in classes for the spring semester.

It brings an end to a rocky three-year career at Tennessee for the gifted wideout.

His 2015 season was pretty much a loss due to nagging injuries, as he finished with just six receptions for 58 yards. He caught 68 passes from 816 yards and five touchdowns during his freshman and sophomore seasons in 2013-14.
