Martreece Dillard announced his commitment to an SEC program on Monday. The Georgia native will be staying in the south.

Dillard is sticking with Vanderbilt football for now. He announced the news on social media.

Dillard is a 3-star DL per the 247Sports Composite. He is listed at 6-foot-4.5, 263 pounds. Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State, and Missouri have all offered Dillard out of the SEC.

Here’s what Dillard had to say about the decision:

“I want to thank my parents for always supporting me, I would also like to thank my coaches and trainers for everything they’ve poured into me. Last I would like to thank each coach and college program who presented me with an offer. With that being said I decided to further my education and football career under a place where I would feel that I would not only have the best opportunity to chase my dreams in football, but also provide me with an excellent education for life after football.”

Dillard is the 16th commit to Vanderbilt from the 2024 class, according to 247Sports.

Clark Lea made improvements in 2022, but was unable to reach a bowl game after finishing the regular season at 5-7.

Vandy will start the 2023 season against Hawai’i on Aug. 26. That game will take place at 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.

Here’s a highlight tape of Dillard:
